One of the few women drum makers in the world, she has been featured in Women in Woodworking, WOOD magazine, and a variety of other publications.
Now focusing primarily on the Ube, djembes, and ashikos, Raven began by making frame drums, and created a series of large taiko type drums honoring the four directions. She has also delved into furniture, creating award winning pieces.
For now, Raven is happily making drums, getting socially active in the performance group, Vox Feminista, playing drums in the rock band, Venusnv, and playing fetch with her labrador, Booda.
